Bburago

The popular brand Bburago has been producing diecast scale models of vehicles for children and adult collectors alike since the 1970s. It was first established as ‘Martoys’ by the Besana brothers in 1974, who then changed the name to the iconic Bburago in 1976, after the Italian town of Burago di Molgara where the company was originally based.

When the company was acquired by the May Cheong Group in 2006, production was moved to China and Thailand, with Bburago relaunching in 2007 as an MCG brand. To this day, Bburago model cars are known for being great value – offering high quality at affordable prices for those who want to display their favourite Formula 1 model cars.

Its range mostly includes Bburago F1 cars in 1:43 scale (approximately 10cm) – 43 times smaller than the original vehicle – though some models are available in 1:24 scale (around 18cm). Larger scale models are more likely to have features like opening car doors or bonnets, which make them more suitable for play as well as display.
