New Jellycats for Christmas 2024
It’s the most wonderful time of the year for Jellycat collectors and lovers of cute soft toys. With the festive season comes a new range of limited edition Christmas designs from the London-based cuddly toy company, which are always in very high demand – whether people are buying these special teddies as presents for loved ones or to treat themselves!
While the brand releases new collections several times a year, their Yuletide designs are arguably the most highly anticipated. Each winter, the Jellycat Christmas launch typically features a selection of new characters, updated versions of some older designs, and seasonal spins on timelessly popular styles, including Amuseables and Bashful Bunnies.
This year, the internationally beloved company has delivered a colourful variety of Christmas-themed Jellycats to bring joy to the world, which we’re happy to stock at Jeremy’s Home Store.
Here is a list of our favourite Jellycat Christmas gifts from the 2024 collection – take a look below to find some cheerful gift ideas for family, friends, or even yourself!
Christmas Bartholomew Bear
The toffee-coloured tousled teddy of everyone’s dreams is back for 2024 with a brand new set of pyjamas. Last winter, Bartholomew Bear Bedtime wore red tartan pyjamas, but this year he’s wearing the cutest Christmas onesie!
The new Bartholomew Bear Winter Pyjamas design sees the golden bear wearing a removable red onesie featuring a white pattern with leaping reindeers, complete with a hole in the back for his tufty little tail to fit through.
As if that’s not adorable enough, you can also buy a miniature version with a ribbon loop to hang on your tree. The Bartholomew Bear Decoration features the fluffy little bear wearing a scarlet knitted scarf with bobbles.
Christmas Ricky Rain Frog
Everybody’s favourite rotund rain frog with the grumpiest face isn’t actually a Scrooge. Don’t let his downturned mouth discourage you – despite originating in South Africa, he secretly loves the snowy season and Christmas cheer.
Hence the hilarious Christmas tree costume! Covered in layers of velvety green foliage embroidered with strings of red and yellow fairy lights, plus a glittery gold star on top, how can you resist Christmas Tree Ricky Rain Frog?
That’s not all, either. If you enjoyed Santa Ricky Rain Frog in his Father Christmas costume last year, you can now purchase a mini Ricky Rain Frog Decoration – albeit wearing just the Santa hat – to decorate your actual tree!
Winter Peanut Penguin
Sweet little Peanut Penguin with his plump tummy and light orange beak and feet was first introduced back in 2020, before starring in the 2022 storybook ‘The Naughty Penguins’ – featuring three cheeky penguin chicks playing pranks.
In 2024, this popular Antarctic-based pal is back and fluffier than ever! Peanut Penguin Snowboarding is ready to hit the slopes on a baby blue snowboard that matches his knitted bobble hat, complete with a fluffy white pompom on top.
Additionally, you can purchase a tiny Peanut Penguin Decoration for your tree, wearing a baby blue knitted scarf and dangling from a blue jacquard ribbon loop – which also matches the foot straps keeping Peanut on his snowboard!
Bashful Winter Puppy
As a classic canine character, the Bashful Black and Cream Puppy with distinctive black patches across his fluffy cream fur has been around since 2014, but a new version of this old favourite is coming out to play for Christmas 2024.
The Bashful Winter Puppy design brings this bright-eyed furry friend back – but this time, he’s wearing a thick knitted scarf in a vibrant crimson shade like Santa’s suit, which is looped around his neck twice for the ultimate cosiness.
If you can’t get enough of this snuggly plush pooch, you’ll be pleased to know a smaller version is available, too! The Bashful Puppy Decoration wears a similar knitted red scarf tied in a knot, and hangs from a red jacquard ribbon.
Christmas Bashful Bunnies
It’s no secret to anyone familiar with this brand that Bashful Bunnies are some of the oldest and most beloved designs, so it’s also no surprise that multiple new styles are brought out each year for occasions like Christmas, Easter, and more.
This festive season, we have several new shades for Bashful Bunny collectors, including Cranberry red, Ivy green, and Nutmeg brown. Plus, the extra-special Bashful Evey Bunny has horizontal stripes in red and cream like a candy cane.
If you would prefer one of these bunnies with traditional cream fur, there’s also the option of a Bashful Bunny with a Christmas Tree or Bashful Bunny with a Candy Cane, holding seasonal props with equally soft plush finishes.
Amuseable Christmas Food
Another of the most well-known ranges is the Jellycat Amuseables, which turns everyday objects and foods into quirky characters with smiley faces and dangly legs. Maybe you remember the original gingerbread house from 2021?
While the old design was quite simple with an icing-covered roof, the 2024 Amuseable Gingerbread House features more intricate embroidery, including loops across the roof, a wreath on the front door, and curtains at the windows. There’s also the new Amuseable Star Cookie and Amuseable Tree Cookie, complete with red and green sprinkles.
It wouldn’t be Christmas if Jellycat didn’t dress up some of their crowd-pleasing characters for the winter – so we have Amuseable Peanut Reindeer wearing a red nose and antlers, plus updated versions of the Amuseable Bobble Avocado in a new knitted hat and Toastie Vivacious Red Aubergine donning fluffy earmuffs in a different colour.
Jellycat Christmas Animals
There’s no shortage of seasonal animal plushies, either. The 2024 Christmas collection includes simple soft toy designs like Romi Reindeer and Bashful Arctic Fox, plus stylised characters like Merrick Moose and Theo Turkey with a woollen cap.
If you adore the slightly scruffy look of fluffy baby animals like the Yummy Duckling from Easter 2023, then the new Yummy Penguin is sure to warm your heart this winter, with tousled grey fur and a golden yellow beak and feet.
Maybe you’re a sucker for giant Jellycat sea creatures, in which case, the Cranberry Octopus with candy cane-striped tentacles should tickle you. Or, if you prefer felines, there’s Christmas Jellycat Jack, featuring the brand’s emblematic black-and-white cat decked out in a velvety red Santa hat and matching scarf with white pompoms.
Not to be forgotten, the grouchy green-shelled reptile may be reminiscent of a snapping turtle, but Snowman Timmy Turtle transforms the original with a snowy-white body, silver buttons, a tartan scarf, and a red bobble hat.
Jellycat Tree Decorations
Not only are there specially designed soft toys for Christmas, but to help you celebrate to the fullest, the company also releases select products as Jellycat decorations that can be hung on your tree (or even on a door hook or bag zipper).
Alongside the characters mentioned above who have their own petite version with a ribbon loop to fit around a branch or over a hook, the 2024 launch also includes a Munro Scottie Dog Decoration with a tartan scarf, based on the full-size Winter Warmer Munro Scottie Dog that was released last year wearing the scarf and a matching tam o’shanter.
There may be no partridges, but there is a sparkly golden Festive Folly Pear, made of jersey fabric with a fuzzy green leaf and a brown jacquard loop to match its stalk. It joins the growing range of Festive Follies released in previous years, including jolly foods like a clementine, Christmas pudding, candy cane, and gingerbread biscuit characters.
While he may not be a miniature soft toy with a hanging ribbon, the last new character from Jellycat this year works well as part of any windowsill scenery or Christmas table décor. With his cordy carrot nose, long red scarf, black embroidered buttons, and brown cloche hat matching his branch arms, Jesse Snowman will fit in wherever you put him.
Jellycat Christmas Books
For families with young children, one of the best parts of the holiday is putting on new pyjamas on Christmas Eve then snuggling up with a hot chocolate and a seasonal bedtime story. So, if you’re looking for a Christmas children’s book for this special occasion, Jellycat has you covered with a selection of festive stories to entertain your little ones!
Babies who are just learning how to interact with books will enjoy the ‘Winter Tails’ activity book, featuring the tactile tails of a variety of winter animals. Alternatively, slightly older early readers may be more interested in the ‘If I Were A Snow Tiger’ paperboard book, which tells the story of the Bashful Snow Tiger with the help of touch-and-feel elements.
Children aged 4 years old and up can jump into Christmas capers with the Gingerbread Fred Book, an illustrated story following the Gingerbread Fred character’s escapades (please note that the soft toy is sold separately!).
